Wolfgang Helms Foundation

Financial support for academic achievements and research in mining and geosciences

The purpose of the Wolfgang Helms Foundation is to use the proceeds of its considerable endowment to promote outstanding achievements in studies and research in the aforementioned fields.

Possible projects are

• Prizes for very good dissertations, theses or student research projects
• Scientific work
• Scientific cooperation with domestic and foreign universities
• Research and teaching activities in need

All members of TU Clausthal who study, teach and research in mining and geosciences are eligible to apply.

• The application for the Wolfgang Helms Prize for outstanding dissertations, Bachelor's/Master's theses and student research projects must be accompanied by a positive report from the supervising professor.
• For a financial grant for scientific projects, an informal application, if necessary with an application form, is required.

A board of trustees of the foundation selects applications following an annual call for applications, which must be submitted to the chairman of the foundation by a deadline.
