Funding projects
The Association of Friends is generally a forum for exchange and contact for students, graduates, business and the university. Specifically, the association supports the university where state funding is not available or not sufficient:
- scientific contacts and cooperation
- Specialist excursions for students
- Study visits abroad
- Acquisition of equipment for the sports institute
- Procurement of musical instruments, organization of concerts and rehearsal weekends of the cultural associations at Clausthal University of Technology
The Association of Friends publishes "TUContact" twice a year and sends it to every member free of charge.
It promotes young academics by awarding various sponsorship prizes and supports graduation and diploma ceremonies.
How do I apply for funding?
Representatives of institutions and recognized groups of Clausthal University of Technology are eligible to apply for project funding. The applicant or recipient of the funding must be or become a member of the association. The application must be sent by post or email to the association's office at least two months before the project deadline and should include the following information:
- Surname, first name of the applicant
- Address with telephone number and e-mail address
The following information is required to justify the application
- Reason for the application, aim of the project
- Amount of the desired financial support
- Cost calculation and other financial contributions
- Endorsement of the application by the supervising university lecturer
Information for the settlement of funds:
After completion of the project, copies of the original invoice receipts (travel, accommodation, catering costs, other expenses) must be submitted in the amount of the approved funds. A report (1 to 2 pages, DIN A 4, electronic transmission with 1 to 2 images) must be provided for publication in our journal.
